Haulier Workshop – Important New Border Procedures for Hauliers from October 1 and January 1
The UK government will introduce full customs controls for EU imports on January 1st 2022. There are two models for customs control: 1/ Temporary storage model whereby goods are offloaded into an approved temporary storage facility 2/ Pre-lodgement model (developed for ports that do not have the space or infrastructure to operate temporary storage facilities).
