An Entry Summary Declaration (ENS) or Safety & Security Declaration is used by border authorities to analyse the potential risk caused to their territory by goods crossing their border. An ENS is needed before the goods are dispatched to the country of arrival, allowing border control to complete a proper security assessment. These are currently required on GB-EU goods movements.
Hauliers, there are new requirements for GB imports
Safety and Security Declarations on EU-GB imports (S&S GB) are required at the end of January 2025. Anybody not providing the correct entry summary declaration will not be able to travel and will be liable to customs penalties.
